Concept: ‘Bringing the physical and emotive senses to life within Alney Island and Castlemeads’

Poem  

From time to time I feel the need to retreat.

These confined city walls cloud the clarity of my mind.

So many toxic sounds, smells and sights to see,

I must escape to set my senses free.

I cross the bridge and feel the release,

All of the tension, fear and reality cease.

Now immersed in a collection of natural triggers and beauty,

I feel at home, forget and reflect on all the love and peace that there is to feel.

I hear, I smell, I see, I taste I touch,

And all the while I’ve healed so much.
